For Medion AG, netTrek GmbH & Co. KG developed a web application to ensure a fair selection process for participants in several video game tournaments held during Gamescom. The solution included a user-friendly frontend for collecting participant data and an efficient backend for managing the draw. This helped ensure a smooth process throughout the event and resulted in plenty of happy winners.

Medion wanted to make sure that participants in its video game tournaments at Gamescom were selected fairly and transparently. The challenge was to create a solution that could both capture participant data and conduct randomized selections in real time.

Solution
Our Approach:
To address these requirements, netTrek developed a web application consisting of a user-friendly frontend and a powerful backend. The frontend allowed event staff to register participants using tablets and capture visitor information directly at the booth. The backend ran on a compact web server and enabled the moderator to start the draw through an administration interface. The results were displayed in real time on a large monitor at the booth.
