Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) partnered with netTrek and Know How! AG to develop an innovative HoloLens application designed to make bus maintenance and servicing more efficient. The application allows employees to access step-by-step instructions and important information directly within their field of view while working, helping streamline maintenance processes and improve the effectiveness of employee training.
Challenge
The Challenge:
BVG was looking for a more effective way to make specialized vehicle maintenance systems easier and more efficient for employees to use. Traditional training videos proved impractical because employees could not easily access them while actively working on a vehicle.
Goals and Requirements:
- Provide employees with the information they need exactly when it is required during the maintenance process
- Make learning content easily accessible while employees are working, without requiring them to put down tools or remove their gloves
- Enable internal experts to share their knowledge with colleagues
