Summary:
Avaya, a leading provider of IP telephony solutions, commissioned netTrek to provide software development and consulting services. Our team developed the Avaya Web Front End (WFE), which is used by more than 180 service employees to coordinate service-related tasks. We also developed a range of configurators that enable customers and sales teams to quickly identify suitable products. By combining modern frontend technologies with a robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipeline, we delivered a secure and efficient solution.
Challenge
The Challenge:
Avaya needed an efficient and user-friendly software solution for coordinating and managing service tasks, repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities across a large service organization. The existing system was not able to adequately support the needs of more than 180 service employees or ensure smooth and efficient handling of these processes.
Goals and Requirements:
The project focused on the following goals and requirements:
- Develop the Avaya Web Front End (WFE), used by more than 180 service employees to coordinate and manage service tasks, repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities
- Provide an intuitive and efficient user interface to streamline the workflows of service employees
- Develop various configurators that allow customers and sales teams to quickly and reliably identify the right products
Solution
Our Approach:
To address these requirements, netTrek relied on modern frontend technologies and proven development processes. The software was developed primarily using HTML, CSS, SASS, TypeScript, and Angular to ensure strong performance and a user-friendly experience. Clean Code principles and established Git workflows were consistently applied to maintain a clean, scalable, and maintainable codebase.
By implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) together with comprehensive acceptance testing, we ensured a secure and reliable product that met Avaya’s high quality standards.
